The framed silk paintings are works of art painted on silk using permanent dyes, the same dyes used in making the scarves. The paintings are framed without glass so that the inherent qualities of the silk shine through. Much of the work centers on the theme of "Eyes Wide Open." Whether it's paying attention to the details of the world around us, threatened or endangered species, or just a unique perspective or point of view...keep your eyes open, wide open to your world..our one and only world. With respect to the painted subjects, I offer these to you.
My FB page has a short video of all the works that recently hung in a show at River Arts in Damariscotta, ME. After the show, I will post remaining art available on the website here. Prints of a variety of those works will be made available through the Fine Art America website. Thank you for your interest!
